I had heard of Tai Yi’s music before seeing him perform but never made the connection as a lot of songs on my playlist are from lesser known singers. Tai Yi is truly unique and when he came onto Singer 2020, he exuded maximum confidence. While he isn’t wildly famous, he has 100% faith in his music and it shows.
His performance of Jade was quite memorable. The song itself is very unique, the rhythm is less common. His drum performance in the middle was delivered wonderfully, he really conquered his stage, no problem. While he didn’t win against Hua Chen Yu, I think it’s quite ballsy and fearless for him to challenge him in the first place as Hua Hua is known to be the most popular and one of the most talented artists on there.
